Fall 2013 Fashion Week Runway Recap
As spring unfolds, the top fashion houses are unveiling what they have dreamed up for fall. From New York and London to Milan and Paris new shapes, patterns, and colors erupted onto the runway. Just to keep you up-to-date on the trends we are coveting for Fall, here is a bit of a recap of whats in store.
Glinted Sunset Dress
Cushine et Ochs, Creatures of Comfort and Rachel Comey all had a similar take on the season’s it pattern, “sunspot”. The hybrid between tie-dye and all over print is updated and oh so chic. Krimson Klover’s Glinted Sunset Dress (available August 2013) gives you a taste of the hottest pattern in luxurious and elegant wool with one of the kind hand-painted fabric. Every dress is painted individually, making each piece unique.
Fall is about sweaters
Fall is all about sweaters and some of our favorites were seen on the runway from the likes of Christopher Kane, Theyskens Theory, Alexander Wang, Rag and Bone, Mulberry and 3.1 Philip Lim. Across the board knitwear is a must-have item. All the designers delivered a structured take on knits. The loose turtleneck was seen on many of the models and the tunic shape was also prevalent. For a dressier version of the loose turtleneck you can slip into the Beatrice Dress, another member of our hand painted line.
High Neck Turtlenecks
High neck turtlenecks were also moving down the runway from Todd Lynn, J.W. Anderson and Issa London, to name a few. You can wear these high neck turtlenecks as base layers or wear them as a stand alone piece; in fact you can start right now with our Skye, available online and in magnificent new colors and stripes next fall.
Bold colors and geometric patterns will be everywhere this fall, as exhibited by Matthew Williamson, Daks and Paul Smith- the brighter the better. Give this a try in our Sergent Pepper, Captured Dreams, Poetic Verse and Cool Cat sweaters (available August 2013). With funky patterns and bold colors these sweaters allow you to update your style- throw them on over another bright color for an up-to-date bold bright mixed color look. The styles that continue to roll down the runways are exciting and interesting and we are eager to try out all the trends for ourselves. When the leaves start to turn you can stay warm and on trend with any of KK's elegant Fall 13 styles.
